Speaking Engagements

Wednesday January 30, 2007 -- Hugo House:  The scribes, teen writers and their mentors, will be reading from their works at Hugo House on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Since I'm a lucky mentor to Angela Boston, a writer and editor, I too will be reading. Come out and join us, writers young and less young. It'll be fun.

Saturday March 1, 2008 -- Whidbey Island Writers Association Writers Conference: I'll be presenting, along with 3 other panelists, an overview of the Whidbey Writers Workshop MFA program. This is the first MFA program to be offered by a collective of writers outside of a university. Fiction, children/young adult, non-fiction and poetry will all be discussed. Go to the Whidbey Island Writers Association webpage for more information on the many exciting and informative conference offerings.

CANCELED - THE WRITERS WEEKEND HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR 2008: I was excited to share my fantastic, wild and crazy, NANOWRIMO to book release, story with a group of wonderful writers at the Seattle Writers Weekend Conference, and I'm sad they had to cancel the conference. Go to www.writersweekend.com for more information.
